AMIDEAST - Founded in 1951, America-Mideast Educational and Training Services, Inc. (AMIDEAST) is a private, nonprofit organization working to strengthen mutual understanding and cooperation between Americans and the people of the Middle East and North Africa. Headquartered in Washington, DC, AMIDEAST maintains a network of field offices located in Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, the West Bank/Gaza Strip, and Yemen. Together, they serve the entire region and the United States. Click here to learn more about AMIDEAST's history.

American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee - ADC is at the forefront combating defamation and negative stereotyping of Arab Americans in the media and wherever else it is practiced. In doing so, it acts as an organized framework through which Arab Americans can channel their efforts toward unified, collective and effective advocacy; by promoting a more balanced U.S. Middle East policy and serving as a reliable source for the news media and educators. By promoting cultural events and participating in community activities, ADC has made great strides in correcting anti-Arab stereotypes and humanizing the image of the Arab people. In all these efforts, ADC coordinates closely with other civil rights and human rights organizations on issues of common concern.

American Institute for Yemeni Studies - AIYS, a member of the Council of American Overseas Research Centers, is the only American interdisciplinary academic organization active on the Arabian peninsula. It is the primary link between the American academic community and the Yemeni government as well as the Yemeni academic community.

Amnesty International - Amnesty International is a worldwide campaigning movement that works to promote all the human rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international standards. In particular, Amnesty International campaigns to free all prisoners of conscience; ensure fair and prompt trials for political prisoners; abolish the death penalty, torture and other cruel treatment of prisoners; end political killings and "disappearances"; and oppose human rights abuses by opposition groups. Amnesty International has around a million members and supporters in 162 countries and territories. Activities range from public demonstrations to letter-writing, from human rights education to fundraising concerts, from individual appeals on a particular case to global campaigns on a particular issue.

Association for Environmental and Developmental Studies in the Arab World  - The main objective of the Association for Environmental and Developmental Studies in the Arab World is to provide a forum for interested scholars of all disciplines to engage in discussing environmental and developmental problems and their solutions in the Arab world. This objective is being achieved through forming discussion groups, organizing panels, and presenting research in professional academic forums. It is also being achieved by having a website (which will be updated periodically) and an electronic list of association members for the purpose of professional networking and exchange of ideas.

British Society for Middle Eastern Studies (BRISMES) - The British Society for Middle Eastern Studies (popularly known as BRISMES) was established in 1973 to encourage and promote the study of the Middle East in the United Kingdom. It brings together teachers, researchers, students, diplomats, journalists and others who deal professionally with the Middle East. Membership is open to all the above, regardless of nationality - indeed regardless of where in the world you are based.

Canadian Committee on Middle East Studies - CANMES is the Canadian Committee of the Middle East Studies Association, established in 1995 to encourage communication among scholars of Middle Eastern studies resident in Canada, and to further the development of joint projects and conference participation on the part of its membership. CANMES cooperates with other scholarly and governmental organizations in activities concerning international and area studies in Canada. To this end, CANMES works with the Canadian Council of Area Studies Learned Societies (CCASLS) to promote the enhancement of teaching and scholarship on area studies.

Tetouan Asmir Association (Morocco) - This association was creates 31 Janvier 1995 in order to promote and to develop the activities scientific, cultural, social economics and sporting of the town of Tetouan.
